While it has the same footprint as our 20 and 30-yard bins ($22 \text{ feet long}$), it stands 8 feet tall. Most residential driveways in Staten Island can accommodate the length, but you must ensure there is no overhead interference. If you have low-hanging tree branches, power lines, or a basketball hoop, a 40-yarder may not be accessible.
Absolutely not. Due to the massive volume, filling a 40-yard bin even a quarter-way with concrete or dirt would exceed the 10-ton legal weight limit for NYC roads. This would make the bin impossible to lift and could damage the truck or your property. For “heavy fill,” we exclusively use 10-yard bins.
A 40-yard delivery is a precision maneuver. You need:
Horizontal Space: Approximately 60 to 70 feet of straight-line space for the truck to back in and drop the bin.
Vertical Space: At least 23 to 25 feet of overhead clearance. Because the truck must tilt the 8-foot-tall bin to slide it off the rails, any low-hanging wires or structures will block the delivery.

Because of its height and size, the DOT has strict regulations regarding visibility and placement near intersections.
